Education principal secretary Dr. Bellio Kipsang has called on candidates to remain confident and face the examinations with courage.
Speaking in Nakuru on Tuesday morning when oversaw the opening of KNEC container stationed at the county commissioner’s compound, the PS assured all candidates that every measure has been put in place to ensure the exams are completed without any interruptions.
He also reminded teachers that a lot has been invested in preparing candidates for the examinations and thus called on everyone to ensure that nothing stops them from harvesting what has been invested in.
Dr. Kipsang said that various principal secretaries and cabinet secretaries will be moving round the country to monitor the examinations.
“I want to call upon all of us to give these candidates the conducive environment for them to sit for their examination. As a government we are working to ensure that” he said.
This even as the 2017 KCPE examinations in Nakuru County kicked off on Tuesday without any hitches.
On his part Nakuru county commissioner Joshua Nkanatha who accompanied Dr. Kipsang revealed that two police officers have been deployed to each examination center.
“The security team is vigilant to ensure that no one disrupts the examination process. The same way repeat presidential election was conducted peacefully in Nakuru, we will ensure that anyone who attempts to disrupt the exams process is dealt with according to the law” said Nkanatha.
Sentiments echoed by Nakuru east Deputy county commissioner Omar Salat who stated that all candidates have been well prepared and are ready to tackle their examinations.
Salat wished all candidates well and assured them of security.
