Former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka once served under retired President President Daniel Arap Moi.
It will be recalled that the former Mwingi North MP served as Minister for Foreign Affairs between 1993 and 1998 under Moi’s regime.
In 1986, Moi appointed him Assistant Minister for Public Works, Housing and Physical Planning-a position he served until 1988.
He later became Kanu organizing secretary and deputy speaker of the National Assembly after recapturing his seat in the 1988 election.
But then the politics of succession led to the duo falling apart.
In 2002, Kalonzo fell out with Moi after the former President chose Uhuru Kenyatta as his successor over a host of Kanu bigwigs who included Kalonzo.
