The wiper Democratic Party of Kenya is in support of the constitutional reforms in the country.
Speaking in Nakuru on Saturday after a two days retreat Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka said the reforms should be all inclusive and be Wanjiku focused.
He noted that it was laughable that some leaders who were in the fore front in opposing constitutional reforms are the greatest beneficiaries of the Kenya constitution 2010.
He said that the constitution as it is was not solid but subject to change hence all stakeholders should be involved in the process.
The aspect of visiting retired President Daniel Arap Moi also came up with the former vice President stating that that he is ready to meet anyone including retired presidents Daniel Moi, Mwai Kibaki and Mama Ngina Kenyatta.
“I am ready to meet anyone including retired presidents Daniel Moi, Mwai Kibaki and Mama Ngina Kenyatta” he said.
He said that those who have visited Moi before have done well adding that those who have not succeeded should make effort to meet him.
The NASA principal welcomed the spirit of hand shake, national dialogue and reconciliation explaining that the same should include dropping of cases facing the Pangani six if true forgiveness is to be seen working.
He said that being the person behind the call for dialogue and reconciliation, he was happy that president Uhuru Kenyatta sought for forgiveness.
On the recent state of the nation address, Kalonzo said that the part on security strides made ought to be interrogated more in order to ensure conformity with the constitution.
Wiper party chairman Kivutha Kibwana said that the fact that Kalonzo spoke of dialogue when it was viewed as unnecessary is a clear indication that he was committed to the reconciliation and national healing process.
The retreat was held even as the party plants to rebrand itself ahead of 2022 elections.
