Nakuru county joins Nandi,Baringo in granting workers holiday to bid farewell to Moi

Nakuru county has joined Nandi and Baringo counties to give their staff a leave of duty on Wednesday to allow them bod farewell to the late retired President Daniel Moi.

Through a Press Release to media houses dated 11 February 2020,”the county government of Nakuru has granted all workers in non-essential services a leave of duty on February 12,2020″

The communication from the county government of Nakuru is very clear that this is in honor of the late retired President Daniel Arap Moi.

However,the Press Release goes further to state essential services like health and emergency response will continue as usual.

The move is aimed to ensure provision of an opportunity to the county staff to bid farewell to the late President who has been a loyal resident of Nakuru county.

The late retired President Moi will be buried at his Kabarak home on Wednesday.
