All industries within Nakuru will be required to provide a medical cover for its workers if a bill seeking the same that has been adopted by county assembly will sail through. The bill was authored and tabled by Subukia MCA Mary Waiganjo. Matatu owners decry infiltration of criminal gangs in the industry

Matatu owners in the larger Rift Valley Region have raised concerns over what they term is infiltration of organized criminal gangs in the industry. County admits overspending on street lighting

The County of Government of Nakuru has admitted about the faulty street lighting and the popular Mulika Mwizi which had been erected in trading centers within the County. In an interview, Governor Lee Kinyanjui says the energy audit committee has discovered the county has been overspending in paying electricity bills. “Energy audit committee has revealed that the county has been overspending in paying electricity bills due to the street lights” said Kinyanjui.
