All industries within Nakuru will be required to provide a medical cover for its workers if a bill seeking the same that has been adopted by county assembly will sail through. The bill was authored and tabled by Subukia MCA Mary Waiganjo. The County assembly on Tuesday afternoon adopted a 21.3 Billion shillings budget for 2019/2020 financial year. Addressing media after the session, Budget and appropriation Committee chairman who is also Naivasha’s Biashara Ward MCA Joel Karuri said the budget for 2019/2020 has the interests of citizens. County assembly petitioned over ‘unprocedural’ Project Management Committees

Two residents from Nakuru East sub County have petitioned the County assembly of Nakuru demanding procedural establishment of the Project Management Committees (PMC) at the Ward level. According to the petitioners Mr.Laban Musundi and John Muthoni form Menengai Residents Association, the current Project Management Committees were formed without the interests of the citizens. A move by a private developer Mr Muhesh Kumal of Maya Emporium to establish a cemetery in Kiamaina, Bahati Sub County has been paralyzed after Nakuru MCAs through the Nakuru County Assembly Health committee rejected the proposal.
