Locals want NEMA to halt GDC project over health concerns

Over 500 residents of Kabazi and Menengai West wards have opposed plan by Geothermal Development Company-GDC to drill 5 wells in their farms. The locals argue that the move is ill advised as it will render them homeless as the project will see majority displaced. They argue that the plan is being implemented without the involvement of the community in the area.
