President Kenyatta reiterates Government’s commitment in solving land tussles

President Uhuru Kenyatta has reiterated Jubilee Government’s commitment towards solving land conflicts through the National Titling Programme. Speaking in Nakuru when he issued land title deeds to Solai Nyakinyua, Kiambogo, and Njoro groups, the head of state said the program that has been rolled out in all the counties will help address disputes surrounding land ownership in the country. Solai dam victims accuse area chiefs of fake beneficiaries

Families affected by the Solai Dam tragedy that claimed 47 lives have raised concerns over what they termed doctoring of compensation list by cartels. They claim local administrators among them area chiefs have taken advantage of the compensation list to include people who were not affected leaving out the real victims.
